Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE

1. Who we are

We are Prove it, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14007642 and have our registered office at 69 Heol Llanishen Fach, Cardiff, CF146LB. To contact us, please email contact@proveitweb.co.uk

These terms were most recently updated in September 2023.

2. How the site works

At Prove it, our aim is to save our members money, doing the things at which we can be the best in the world. We also aim to always apply our ‘do good' policy (which means we will try to make it right every single time in all our interactions).

We aim to make Oz the best and most trusted place for our members not only to learn how to save money and but also actually make money. Our users can earn money from Oz fundamentally in two ways: a) by buying the products they need through our partner network and b) by referring their friends and earning a commission every time when their friends are earning money.

So how does Oz teach me how to save money?

Oz can answer any questions you might have but he is particularly good at answering personal finance type of questions. For example, you could ask Oz how to choose the best credit card for you, and he will guide you through the things you need to take into consideration when you get a credit card. Similarly, it can answer questions about how to get the best car insurance premium. And so on, you got the gist. We built Oz on top of the ChatGPT technology but we feed Oz with our own knowledge so you can think of it as ChatGPT on steroids for your personal needs.

And how does Oz make me money?

The answer is simple: through our rewards program. You can earn rewards fundamentally in two ways:

When you ask Oz a question, he replies with his opinion on your question. If the question relates to a financial product, such as a loan for example, we will show you Oz's answer and also 2-4 loan providers that we work with. When you click through to a company advertised on our site www.proveitweb.co.uk (“Site”), we are in effect, acting as an advertising agent for the company by sending them online customers and traffic. In return for this, the retailers (and their tracking agencies) pay us a commission. We split this commission three ways: 70% of it goes to you, 20% goes to you friend who referred you, and we keep 10% to keep the lights on and keep on improving Oz.

This is the only way for us to get a commission from our partners. We will never charge our partners a "cost per click" (Google and many companies are doing this). We will never sell your data. When you are a plus member, with a verified account, and when you click through to one of our partners, we will share with them also your Global Financial Score. In some cases, our partners will provide you a better price (for example you might get a better APR rate for a loan if your Global Financial Score is high). You will never get a worse price due to your Global Financial Score.

Secondly, you can earn money by referring your friends. We are a passionate bunch, we like to work hard on Oz and its capabilities. We don't have a big marketing budget so we rely on our members to spread the word. And instead of paying a marketing agency or a website for their marketing activities, we like to reward our members for spreading the word. And we want to reward our members as often as possible. This is why you get £1 in your rewards wallet every time you refer someone who joins Oz for free. Moreover, every time your friend gets a product through our website, they get a reward in their rewards account and also you get a small kickback in your rewards wallet.

To keep this all running smoothly, we do need to introduce some terms and conditions of site membership, as set out here on this page.

2. By using our Site you accept these terms

2.1 By using our Site, you confirm that you agree with and accept these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Site.

3. There are other terms that may apply to you

3.1 These terms of use refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of our site:

  • Our Privacy Policy, which sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using our Site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

  • Our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out the permitted uses and prohibited uses of our site. When using our site, you must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies on our site.

4. Site membership and usage

4.1 One account is allowed per person. We are happy for you to make the occasional transaction on behalf of other family members or close friends. This is subject at all times to fair usage and one account should not be used to make purchases on behalf of many other people.

4.2 The legal owner of the email address and the LinkedIn profile used to sign up to the Site is deemed to be the account owner. Any rewards earned by a third party using the account will be credited to the account as if you had made the transaction yourself.

4.3 Any use of our Site is made based on the assumption that full authority has been obtained from all relevant parties. This may include but is not limited to employers, friends, family and businesses.

4.4 We do reserve the right to refuse membership and or terminate any account in accordance with these terms of use.

4.5 By joining the site, you confirm you are over 18.

5. Basic and Plus Membership

5.1 We have two types of membership on the Site.

Our basic membership allows you to use the Site free of charge although does not allow you access to some of the extra benefits and features which are available to Plus members. More precisely you can ask Oz any questions and receive your answers, but no more than 10 questions a day. We might change this in the future based on the costs we incur to keep Oz going. Moreover, you can collect as many rewards as you wish. However, to cash out the rewards as Amazon vouchers, you need a plus membership.

For you to access our Plus membership and enjoy the full potential of Oz, we would need to verify your account. This is a simple and secure process which involves you giving us permission to verify your bank account. During this process, we generate also our Global Financial Score for you so you can get better rates and further discounts on the financial products you buy through our website.

Also there is a fee associated with the plus membership. If you decide to use our Plus membership we simply deduct £5 from your rewards wallet each Year. A Year starts when you opt in to become a plus member and runs for a period of 12 months. If you don’t have enough rewards for us to collect the Plus fee, you will have the option to pay the difference.

6. Earning rewards

You’re all signed up and ready to earn. What else do you need to know about rewards?

6.1 All the transactions you make are directly with the retailer, not with Oz or Prove it or any of our domains. When you make a purchase via Oz with a retailer, it is tracked using cookies and various other technologies which allow the retailer to identify that a purchase has been made, who made it (you) and where it came from (Oz). Once the retailer or tracking network has identified the purchase and acknowledged it, it will show up in your account as ‘initiated’. When the retailer validates the purchase it may show in your account as ‘confirmed’. Once we have received the commission from the retailer, it will then show up in your account as ‘payable’. You are then free to withdraw your money in accordance with any payout terms and conditions applicable at the time of payout. More importantly, please remember that you will need to be a Plus member to withdraw any rewards.

6.2 Rewards shall only be paid on transactions that fulfill the following criteria:

a) clicking through to the partner via Oz. Clicking through to a partner via any other link from other websites will not validate the sale and will not get any reward.

b) completing your purchase from the point of clicking through to the partner. Navigating away from our Site to a third party or failing to complete your transaction in full at the time of clicking through may result in the transaction failing to track to your account.

c) a genuine purchase is being made. Repeat purchases may not qualify for rewards and you must purchase for genuine reasons. By making a transaction via Oz you acknowledge that it is at the partner’s entire discretion to determine whether a transaction is genuine and you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any rewards where a retailer has deemed a transaction disingenuous.

d) notification from the retailer or their tracking network that a transaction has been tracked directly back your Oz account by an identifying tag. If you are not logged in to your Oz account when you make your purchase, there will be no identifying tag matching you with the transaction taking place.

e) notification from the partner or their tracking network that your purchase is a qualifying transaction. As explained above, whether or not a purchase is a qualifying transaction is entirely at the discretion of the retailer and you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any rewards to you if the partner does not accept your transaction as a qualifying transaction.

f) a valid account is in place. If your account is terminated or disabled for any reason, then any rewards payable will be deemed to be forfeited.

g) Reward may be declined if all or part of your order is returned, amended or cancelled.

6.3 You acknowledge and agree that in order for us and the affiliate networks to track and confirm your purchase (as explained at 6.1 above), the affiliate networks will share the order ID relating to your purchase with us

6.4 If you notify us that a transaction has not been reported in your account as you anticipated (a ‘Claim’) we will use reasonable endeavors to investigate such Claim with the partner or tracking agency subject always to our right to cease investigations at any point at our entire discretion.

6.5a You acknowledge that the partner or it’s tracking agency’s decision is final in relation to the payment of commission to us and in turn, our decision is final in relation to paying rewards to you. We will make all reasonable endeavors to secure the payment of commission on a transaction but we do not and cannot make any guarantee in this regard. In the event we do not receive the expected commission for a transaction for whatever reason, we will not be liable to pay the relevant reward to you.

6.6 We do reserve the right to reclaim or adjust any reward payments in the event that any reward has been paid to you in error. This may include but not be limited to transactions where reward is not genuinely due to you or where any commission for a transaction has not been received from a retailer or its agencies but been paid over to you as reward in error.

6.7 It is important to note that we do not hold money in your account similar to a bank and legal title to any reward earnings does not pass to you until you have taken possession of the reward by way of a successful withdrawal from your Oz account.

6.8 For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding any other provision contained in these terms and conditions, you agree and acknowledge that in all circumstances the payment of reward to you is at our discretion and we may refuse to pay reward to you for any reason.

7. Cashing out

7.1 You can submit a request to withdraw any payable rewards from your account at any time during your Plus membership. We will send you an Amazon voucher for the equivalent rewards that you have in your account (eg. if you have £60 rewards, we will generate a £60 Amazon voucher).

7.2 You may only request one Amazon voucher in any 7 days period. We are making various checks to make sure the system is working as designed.

7.3 You may withdraw your rewards from your account only by Amazon voucher. If for whatever reasons you don't want an Amazon voucher, we are really sorry but there is nothing we can do.

7.4 It is your responsibility to ensure you still have access to the email address used to create your account. We shall not be responsible for any rewards being sent to an incorrect email address where you have provided incorrect details. Such vouchers will not be recoverable and you would lose the rewards.

7.5 The time between requesting payment of your rewards and your Amazon voucher being sent to you may vary. We shall not be liable for any delays in this regard or for any consequences of any delays which may occur.

7.6 We reserve the right to suspend rewards payments at any time without notice to you if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity has taken place.

8. Managing your account

9.1 Be sure to keep your account up to date with your current email address to make sure you don’t miss out on any important information about your account. If we don’t have a serviceable email address or if you mark our emails as spam, junk or abusive, we may terminate your account.

9.2 You can manage your account within your account profile. Here you can subscribe to or unsubscribe from any emails we may send, although please note that you cannot unsubscribe to service emails which we deem to be essential in order to use the Site. Please make yourself familiar with the email section in our Privacy Policy and feel free to amend your account settings to reflect what information you would like to receive from us.

9.3 You agree to ensure your username on the Oz site is not offensive nor used in any way which may represent any trademarks or brand names. If we detect any usernames contravening this provision we shall contact you and request that you update this. Failure by you to respond within 14 days may result in your account being terminated and any earnings forfeited.

9. Termination of your account

9.1 You can cancel your membership at any time. You can cancel your membership simply by clicking the appropriate link within your account settings and following instructions. If you prefer, you can email us at ‘cancelmyaccount@proveitweb.co.uk’ and we can take care of it from our end.

9.2 In the event of fraudulent, abusive or other activity we determine to be unfair, we reserve the right to terminate your account.

9.3 Please note that accounts may be disabled if they are deemed at our discretion to be dormant. In order to keep your account active, you are required to log into your account least once every 6 months (although you are not required to make any purchase).

10. Amazon voucher codes

10.1 We use an automatic process supervised by a human being to create and send Amazon voucher codes. In order to make sure everybody has the best possible experience, this usually takes 1-2 minutes. In some rare cases, it can take up to 7 days to get your voucher generated.

11. Tell a friend (Referral Scheme)

11.1 Being the generous folk that we are, we want to reward you for telling your friends about us. As such, if you refer a friend to Oz in accordance with these terms and conditions, we will credit your account with the applicable refer-a-friend amount applicable at the time of the referral. For now, this is £1 when your friend is joining Oz. Moreover, since we believe in sharing the benefits between friends, every time your friend is getting rewarded, you are getting rewarded too. Because this is what good friends do.

11.2  The amount of rewards varies based on the commission we receive. However, the way that the commission gets split is very transparent. The person who made the purchase gets 70% of the commission. The person who introduced the purchaser gets 20% of the commission. And Oz gets the remaining 10% as we really need to run a business and make sure Oz's wheels are well greased.

12. We may suspend or withdraw our Site

12.1 We do not guarantee that Oz, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of Oz and any of our sites for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

12.2 You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

13. We may make changes to these terms

13.1 We may amend these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our members' needs and our business priorities. Every time you wish to use our Site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.

14. You must keep your account details safe

14.1 If you choose, or you are provided with a password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We will not ask you for any passwords, you just need to login using your LinkedIn profile

14.2 We have the right to disable any account, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

14.3 If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your account, you must promptly notify us via a support ticket on the Site.

15. Fraud prevention

15.1 We operate systems on the Site to deter and limit any fraudulent use or abuse of Oz and reserve the right to apply any fraud prevention measures as we see fit.

15.2 We reserve the right to investigate any transactions that you make on Oz which may include the passing of your personal data to third parties who we work with in the provision of providing rewards. Such data transfers are explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy. If, at our sole discretion we deem that abuse or suspect any fraudulent use of any offer on the Site has occurred we reserve the right to terminate your account and you shall forfeit any rewards contained within it.
